Hi and welcome! I’m so glad you found us.
Byenveni Baby is more than a community center—it’s a collective space for care, guidance, and support throughout the childbearing years.
As a Nurse Midwife with over 25 years of experience (and more than 3,500 babies welcomed into the world), I know that traditional pregnancy care often leaves families without the time, depth, or continuity they truly need. That’s why I created Byenveni Baby: a place where you can find the services that go beyond the standard model of care.
Here, you can access:
Extended pregnancy support visits (60–90 minutes) for real conversations and individualized guidance
Consultations for families navigating high-risk pregnancies, providing clarity and peace of mind
Decision-making support for complex choices, such as whether or when to schedule an induction
Perinatal mental health care, including assessment, medication management, and ongoing support for anxiety and depression in pregnancy and postpartum
At Byenveni Baby, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone—you’ll find both expertise and a community that honors your voice, your values, and your vision for care.
How Our Care Is Different
The services I provide are intentionally different from the traditional model of pregnancy care:
✨ Time that truly supports you – Our visits are expansive, lasting 60–90 minutes, because I believe meaningful prenatal support can’t be rushed. Unlike the standard 15-minute appointment (often just 6–8 minutes face-to-face), you’ll have the space to ask questions, process information, and feel fully heard.
✨ Your priorities at the center – Instead of being guided by a checklist, our conversations focus on what matters most to you—your values, your concerns, and your vision for pregnancy and birth.
✨ Expert, evidence-based guidance – You can trust that the information and recommendations you receive are grounded in both the science of evidence-based medicine and the wisdom of midwifery care. With over 25 years of experience supporting both low-risk and complex pregnancies, I bring a depth of expertise that helps families feel informed and empowered.
This is care designed for presence, partnership, and peace of mind.

About Me
I have spent most of my life working around birth. My career began as a Labor and Delivery nurse in a busy, high-risk center in Hawaii. The work was exhilarating and gave me a strong foundation in birthing care. During those early years, I fell deeply in love with birth and developed a profound respect for what our bodies are capable of. Yet I realized that I longed for a more sustained and personal connection with the families I served. This led me to pursue a Nurse-Midwifery degree through OHSU.
For more than 25 years, I have worked as a midwife in both private practice and as part of a large hospital-based midwifery team. My passion for service has taken me abroad, where I had the privilege of volunteering with pregnant people in Rwanda, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Over the years, I have cared for families navigating everything from unmedicated births to highly complex births. These diverse experiences now serve as the foundation for the services and programs I have created.
My career has been deeply fulfilling. It has been an honor to witness each unique pregnancy and birth, and I am profoundly grateful to the thousands of families who have trusted me with their care. To date, I have caught over 3,500 babies and supported countless others through pregnancy and postpartum. Each family has taught me something new, and together they have shaped my understanding of what it means to be truly present in care.
Midwifery is more than a profession for me—it is my life’s work. I am honored to share my knowledge, experience, and passion with you.
Schedule + Upcoming Events:
Infant + Pediatric CPR Training
One of the most important aspects of caring for your baby is keeping them safe. While there are plenty of things you can do to help prevent accidents it is highly recommended that parents know how to respond should an emergency arise. This means knowing how to perform CPR and relieve choking.
In this 2-hour class we will cover how to identify the signs of a choking or unresponsive baby as well as how to respond. You will learn the skills to relieve choking, perform CPR and rescue breathing.
